Compression socks

Soon after surgery, one major risk that you should mitigate is blood clotting due to being sedentary. Having compression socks, particularly while traveling soon after surgery, helps mitigate those issues

Grabber tool

This comes in handy when picking items up from the floor or hard to reach places without straining your back.

Shoe horn

Post-surgery, you are advised to not bend. This will assist you to put on shoes without bending too much. Be sure to purchase one that fits your height.

Gel Ice Packs

Post-surgery, the surgical site will be inflamed. Having flexible gel ice packs will help ease discomfort. Be sure to have multiple so that you can rotate as one warms up after use. Do not continuously ice the incision site for more than 20 minutes at a time.

Nice to have items

Face down pillow

Soon after surgery, it may be difficult to sleep on your back. This pillow will allow you to lay on your stomach without putting too much strain on your neck.

Sock aid

This will come in handy to put on socks unassisted providing a sense of independence after surgery.

Slip-on shoes

Post-surgery, it will be difficult to bend down and put on shoes. Such a shoe will enable you to put on your shoes with ease without needing assistance.
